Swyx Desktop for macOS is characterised by its intuitive, clearly arranged operating concept. Calls can be started conveniently from caller lists, phone books and via shortcut from applications such as PDF pages or websites. Phone calls are made in HD-Audio for best sound quality. Even classic telephony functions of a PBX such as Connect, Redirect or Hold are just a mouse click away.
In addition to the company-wide telephone book with information on telephone number, e-mail address and profile picture, you can easily create your own contacts and favourites. With the VoIP software from Swyx, it is no longer necessary to search for contacts, you have all the important numbers right at your fingertips.

Filters and search functions in call lists, phone books and favourites make searching for contacts even easier. The integrated call journal gives you an overview of all incoming and outgoing calls with date, time and duration of the call at any time.
The Swyx PBX user interface includes presence information, which provides information about the availability of each employee. You can choose between available, not present an "do not disturb". The status "Device disconnected" appears if you are not connected to the IP PBX. The respective status is automatically linked to the internal contact database and is displayed in the contact, call and favourites list. If, for example, you are unavailable for lunch, simply set your status to "absent". Your colleagues know what's going on and can avoid unsuccessful attempts to reach you. The status can also be individually supplemented with a short text: "I'm on my lunch break". Alternatively, you can let your calendar speak and use the subject and location of the current calendar entry as status text.
In addition to a simple telephone call with only one call partner, you also have the option of conducting ad-hoc telephone conferences with two call partners at the same time using your Swyx business telephone system. By clicking on the corresponding button, both the active and the call on hold are connected to form a conference. The call is then continued as planned with three parties. However, as the initiator of the conference, you can also withdraw from the call and connect the two remaining call participants to one telephone call.
If you can't be reached via your office phone, but don't want your customers' calls to remain unanswered, you can use the Call Routing Manager to forward calls to colleagues, your mobile phone or voicemail. It is up to you to decide how incoming calls are handled, for example, whether calls should be forwarded immediately or after a few seconds. If a call is routed to your mailbox, the Swyx user interface automatically signals the missed call. This way you are always up to date and can call the customer back as soon as possible.
In everyday professional life it is not only important to decide when you are available, but also how. Swyx Desktop for macOS supports a wide range of USB headsets and handsfree kits for your virtual PBX. With the help of the Bluetooth Audio Integration, function keys such as call acceptance, hang up, loud/quiet can be conveniently pressed on the headset of the device. In addition to the manufacturers Jabra and Plantronics, you can also use selected Yealink desk phones with CTI support.
