Summary

Information und configuration hints for SIP provider myTweak Telekom (Austria)

Information

General information

myTweak Telekom is offereing a SIP trunks with user authentication. You have received information about UserID, UserName and UserPassword, whereas the naming may differ, or you might have only received UserName and -password. In this case, UserID and UserName are identical. Additionally, you will receive the DNS name of the SIP server.

Configuration

During creation of the SIP Trunkgroup, profile 'myTweak (AT)' has to be selected.
Since myTweak Telekom is operating with multiple SIP servers, it is necessary to enter the actual SIP server in the fields 'Registrar' and 'Proxy' in the properties of the newly created trunk group.

In order to assign incoming calls to the correct trunk, it is necessary to configure a SIP URI for the trunk. The assigned number block and the numberformat must be considered.
Example
Numberrange: +43 66 1234560 ... +43 66 1234569
In this case, the SIP URI must be entered in the format 4366123456*@*.

Codec configuration
Because of current incompatibilties in T.38, it is necessary to deactivate T.38 as supported codec. This may be configured during the creation of the SIP trunk or afterwards in the SIP Trunk properties, underneth the 'Codec' tab.

For your convenience the generated CustomProviderProfiles.config is available for download at the end of this article. Extended information about how to use this file can be found at Configuration and Adaptation of SIP Providers via Provider Profiles (kb3436).
Important: From SwyxWare 2015 R40.2 on, the provider profile for myTweak is already available in the list of provider profiles and the CustomProviderProfiles.config is no longer necessary.
