Information

Due to requirements in the releease- and certificationproceess by Apple it maybe not possible to login with the current and further Swyx Mobile for iOS-App if SwyxWare is installed on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2.

These requirements by Apple affect the TLS-Protocol (Transport Layer Security) similar to SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). Due to this, every App approved for the App Store needs to support TLS-Version 1.2.

TLS 1.2 is activated since Microsoft Windows Server 2012 as default.

In Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 TLS 1.2 can be activated via changes in the Registry. Following this the login of Swyx Mobile for iOS will be possible again.

The following Changes needs to be done in the Registry:

  • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.2]
  • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.2\Server]
    "DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000000

A Reboot of the Server is necessary. After the Reboot and successfull start of the SwyxWare-Services the login should work without problems.
