  • SwyxIt! Handset P250

[ Summary | Information ]

The Windows operating system limits the functionality of handsets (P250, P280) that are connected via USB and have several built-in speakers (earphone, monitoring, headset).

If one of these speakers is defined as "Default Device" in the Windows settings for playback devices, conflicts with the telephony may occur.

When using a P250 or P280 it must be ensured, that another playback device (e.g. the PC-speaker) is set as "Default Device".

The "Default Device" for playback is used to generate system sounds or to play music with the media player or a browser. If the "Default Device" is opened by Windows, the the primary application has exclusive control on the different speakers. In such a situation SwyxIt! has no chance to play a call on the desired speaker. Now the call can only be heard on the speaker set as "Default Device".
