[ Information ]
When re-installing the Windows Server versions Windows 2008 and Windows 2012, the power plan (Control Panel -> Power Options) is automatically set to "Balanced". According to Microsoft, this option ensures a reduced power consumption.
However, many tests showed that this setting may have a negative impact on the operation of a SwyxWare Telephone System. When in power saving mode, the processing of voice data (Conferences, Announcements) may be interrupted, so the user hears "Clicks" in the device. Furthermore, the switchboard function may be impaired, so calls are transmitted with delay, or the telephone system reacts slowly at peaks.
Swyx therefore recommends to change the power saving plan to "High Performance".
This also applies to any Desktop versions Windows 7 and Windows 8, on which SwyxIt! is used. Problems with older AMD CPUs may occur, which result in severe impairments of the USB communication. The power saving plan of a Desktop operating system should therefore also be set to "High Performance".
