Cleanup of multiple identical Fax-Forwardings (kb4113)

Summary

The in SwyxWare v7.0 introduced Fax / FaxUser management via SwyxWare Administration might multiply configured Fax Forwardings (Send to Printer / via Email).

This article describes how to solve this problem.


Information

Always create a proper Database Backup of the SwyxWare Database (either with Config-Wizzard, the Trace Tool or with the Backup.WSF-Script) !

  1. Download the Package located under References and decompress it.

  2. Execute the following OSQL-Command within a command line window:

    osql -S .\SQLEXPRESS -d ippbx -E -i faxrepair.sql

    Alternatively you can use SQL Management Studio to execute the following commands:

    delete from FaxForwarding where FaxForwardingID not in
    (
      SELECT Max(FaxForwardingID)
      FROM FaxForwarding AS list
      GROUP BY UserID, Type, Address, Data
    )

  3. Finally copy the file IPPBX.DLL into the SwyxWare Administration program folder (i.e. C:\Program Files\SwyxWare Administration\)
