Information about SwyxWare AD extension snap-in registration (kb3833)

SwyxWare v6.20 offers a new Microsoft Management Console snap-in which extends the Microsoft Active Directory Users and Computers console. This extension needs to be registered globally in Active Directory. SwyxWare Configuration Wizard offers to do that during SwyxWare setup.
This article describe the changes made during registration. The changes are no AD schema extension and are removable.
Active Directory Configuration
The SwyxWare AD extension snapin must be registered in Active Directory. That registration will be done by SwyxWare ConfigWizard or manually by running IpPbxAdExtConfig.exe. Both tools perform the following configuration:
Deregistration od the Active Directory Extension
The above described configuration will not be removed when SwyxWare is uninstalled. By using IpPbxAdExtConfig.exe, which you can find in the SwyxWare program fodler or, alternatively, on the Swyxware CD under 'Tools\AD Extension', it's possbile to remove the registration information from Active Directory. Start a command prompt window with domain administrator rights and execute
By using parameter /v the current state of the registration is displayed. With /r the registration information will be added again.
