Upgrading of SwyxWare to SwyxProfessional (kb3432)

Existing SwyxWare installations with single Option Packs can not be upgraded with SwyxProfessional licenses. For the future Swyx offers the possibility to his customers to upgrade the installation to SwyxProfessional Option Pack. This upgrade takes place by swapping the existing licenses into SwyxProfessional licenses.


Procedure of swapping licenses


- All licenses which are bundled in SwyxProfessional must be installed for the same number of users.

will be swapped to

Professional Option

- missing Option Pack licenses need to be purchased before the license swap can take place. Please contact your authorised Swyx reseller!


Please send an email with all licenses which shall be swapped and the following information to

-          Productname of licenses
-          Serial numbers
-          Copy of this file: 

      (C:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\Swyx\license.dat)

Licenses will be checked and then locked in our database. According to this you´ll receive SwyxProfessional license(s).

Then delete each Option Pack license from your SwyxWare Administration, add new Professional license(s), generate a new license request and send it to

Please destroy all license paperwork of locked Single Option Pack licenses, to avoid confusion.
