Requesting permanent licenses after a hardware change (kb3281)

This article describes the formal process when requesting new permanent licenses after a hardware change.
Because of the hardware coupling of Swyx licenses it is not possible to change more than one hardware component (from SwyxWare v6.x on; until and incl. SwyxWare v5.x : more than two components). If this happens the existing permanent license becomes invalid. Within a period of time of 30 days a new permanent license must be requested from Swyx.
This article describes the technical procedure:
To obtain the new permanent license from Swyx you must declare that you do not use the previous permanent license any longer.
Print out the form at the end of this article and fill in the requested data. Fill in also the 4 to 5 digit serial numbers of all licenses to be used with the new hardware.
Sign the form and send it to the following fax number: +49 231 4777 199
Generate a license request from within SwyxWare Administration and send it by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have already sent the form please make a short note in your email.
Once we have received both, the form and the license request, we will provide you with the new permanent license.
