Summary

Starting with version 5.0 SwyxWare hotfixes are shipped as Patches based on Microsoft Windows Installer technologie. This article describes how to remove such patches on Windows 2000 Server or Windows Server 2003 (without service pack)

Information

A patch installed on a Windows Server 2003 system with Service Pack 1, is listed in the "Add/Remove Programs" list in the Windows control panel. Removing a patch is possible from that location, too. Windows unfortunately cannot display patches on older systems. To list and removes SwyxWare Hotfixes on these systems you can use the RemovePatch.wsf script, downloadable via the link below

Usage:

  • List Patches: RemovePatch.wsf
  • Remove a patch: RemovePatch.wsf /r:<Patchnum> where <Patchnum> is the patch number displayed when patches are listed (by calling RemovePatch.wsf without parameter). The script asks for confirmation before removing the patch.
