Prevent using a gateway line for outgoing calls if user has no matching number (kb2274)

The information in this article applies to:

  • SwyxWare v4.02

[ Summary | Information ]

SwyxWare selects a gateway line for outgoing calls according to the user's number. If a user has no matching number, SwyxServer will use another line and suppresses the calling party number. To prevent using of such a non-matching line a registry value can be added.

SwyxServer selects gateway lines for outgoing calls according to the SwyxWare user's calling party number. I.e. if a SwyxWare user dials an external number SwyxWare searches for a matching line in the following order:

1. SwyxWare selects the line which matches the calling party number. For MSN-Configurations the line is used which has the calling party MSN. For direct-dial-in (DDI) configurations a line is selected which is DDI-capable.

2. If no line found at step 1. SwyxWare tries to find a line which matches another number of the dialing user.

3. If no line is found in the previous steps, SwyxWare uses another line and suppresses the calling party number.

If step 3 should be omitted, you may add the following registry value:

Location:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Swyx\IpPbxSrv\ CurrentVersion\Options

WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
