Launch of SwyxWare 2011

UC solution delivers significant new functionality including Rich Presence & HD quality

London, 25.05.2011 - Swyx, a market-leading vendor of Unified Communications (UC) for SMEs today announced the availability of its latest new solution, "SwyxWare 2011". Designed to optimise business processes, improve availability and increase productivity, the new version boasts extended functionality such as rich presence, voice data encryption and HD sound quality for both audio and video telephony. SwyxWare 2011 is available through the company's authorised UK resellers.

Rich Presence: Detailed status information for all colleagues
A key feature of the new solution is "rich presence" which gives a complete overview of a user's status by synchronising with calendar information from Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes. Colleagues can simply see via their on-screen softphone whether someone is "away", "busy" or "on holiday". By updating information on availability and contact preference in real-time, SwyxWare 2011 enables callers to understand how best to contact someone, for example via phone, email, instant messaging or mobile device. The Swyx user can also improve their availability by setting up call forwarding or call routing options dependent on status, to avoid "telephone tag" situations or unnecessary voicemails.

Voicemail & CTI as standard – More features for the same cost
Within SwyxWare 2011, voice mail and CTI are now included as standard with other features including Microsoft Outlook integration, application sharing, instant messaging, video telephony, rich presence and conferencing. Customers can also purchase additional options such as SwyxMobile or SwyxFax.

High Definition call quality & voice encryption
Thanks to high definition audio (Wideband Codec G. 722), calls with SwyxWare 2011 are delivered in HD which is supported on all SwyxPhone models L4/5/6, as well as SwyxIt! softphone with current USB devices. The introduction of SRTP (Secure Real-time Transport Protocol) also now encrypts all conversations via SwyxWare.

SwyxWare 2011 also has a new set of ringtones which can be adapted according to particular work environments. For example, open-plan offices can choose more discrete ring tones which will not disturb other colleagues.
